How to Find Wheel Center Caps That Are Not Recognisable?

The problem that more car owners will wonder about is that when looking for wheel center caps, they don't know where to look for some unknown wheel center caps because they don't see the make and model of the rims that the hubcap matches and there is no brand name written on the wheel center caps.

RhinoTuning has some tips for you.

For owners with original wheel center caps.

1. Check the model number of the hubcap

Having the original hubcap is an easy thing to check. Some hubcaps will have a model number or part number on the back of the hubcap, so do a web search to see if you can identify it.

2. Check the appearance of the hubcap

Generally, hubcaps come in several types of mounting options, such as Snap-on, Screw-on, Push-on, and Bolt-on.

The important thing to note here is that with Push Through center caps it is the barrel diameter that needs to be measured, everything else is measured by the largest outside diameter.

For owners without the original hubcaps:

If you don't have the original hubcaps, you will have to look at the rim.

1. Look at the centre hole of the rim

Look at the centre hole of the rim to see if it is threaded, if it is then you can tell the type of mounting is Screw On. If there are small screws around it then it is Bolt On. Most trailers are fitted with Push Through Center Caps.

2. Check the diameter of the rim centre hole

The diameter of the center hole of the rim represents the installation diameter of the hubcap. If the hubcap is snap-on, the diameter of the centre hole is the diameter of the snap (inner diameter). If it's Push Through Centre Caps it's the barrel diameter.
